TOWNS AND CITIES

-  Street furniture: bench, post box, telephone box, litter bin, street lamps.
-  Traffic sings: traffic lights, zebra crossing, stop, no bicycles.               

  • Public buildings: hospital, museum school, town hall.
  • Places in the street: road, pavement, street, square.

   -     This is my house. This is the school. 

  • I live at seven Park Street.
  • Where is the hospital? Here.
  • Is there a bench in the park? Yes/No.
  • I can cross / I can´t cross.
  • Cities are bigger. Towns are smaller.
  • Some villages are in the countryside.

I LOVE ANIMALS

-Living things: feed, grow, interact and reproduce, food, water, oxygen.
-Vital functions: reproduction, interaction, nutrition.
-Related to mammal: hair, give birth, mouth, legs, tail, udders, land, water,
-Related to birds: feathers, beak, wings, legs, lay eggs, eggs, nest.
-Related to fish: scales, fins, gills, tail , head, mouth, sea, rivers.
-Extinction: danger of extinction, hunt, care, destroy, lynx, elephant, panda bear, sea turtle.

-Animals, plants and people are living things. They need food, oxygen and water. They reproduce, they feed and they react..
- Mammals give birth young. They have got hair. They feed their young with milk. They live on land or in water.
-Birds have got feathers, a beak and winds. They have got two legs. They lay eggs.
-Fish have got fins and scales. They lay eggs .They live in the sea or in rivers.
-We have got to take care of animals. Some animals are in danger of extinction.

-Related to the parts of a plant: roots, stem, leaves, trunk, branches, flowers, fruit, water, air and sunlight.
-Types of plants: tree, bush, grass.
-Cultivated and wild plants:  medicine, food, flowers, clothes, perfume, wood.
-Vegetables: asparagus, carrots, spinach, aubergine, onion…
-We eat : roots, seeds, leaves, fruit, stem, flower.
-Taking care of plant: sunlight, water, pick…

- Plants have got roots, a stem and leaves. They need water, air and sunlight. Plants take water through the roots.

  • -There are three types of plants.
  • There are cultivated plants and wild plants.
  • - We use plants for medicine, for food, to make clothes, paper…

-Vegetables are plants that people grow for food.
-We eat the roots, stems, leaves….

JOBS

- Jobs in the countryside: agricultural farmers, cattle farmers, plough, harvest.
-Jobs at the sea: fishing, catch fish.
-Jobs in workshops and factories: artisans, tools, small machines, machinery, products.
-Jobs that help others: service, doctor, policeman/policewoman, mechanic, waiter/waitress, teacher…

-Agricultural farmers work in the countryside. They grow plants.
-Cattle farmers care for animals. The animals give us milk leather,wool.
-Artisans work with their hands, tools or small machines. They work in workshops.
-Some people work in factories. The machines are complex in factories.
-Some jobs provide us a service. He/she is a doctor.

      WATER, AIR AND THE WEATHER

-Related to the air: oxygen, air, wind, move.
-Water in nature: river, sea, ocean, lake, clouds, well, underground spring, glaciers.
-States of water: solid, ice, liquid, vapour.
-Drinking water: safe, drink, dangerous, health.
-Uses of water: save water, waste water.
The weather. Rain, hail, snow, sunny, windy, cloudy, hailing, snowing, raining.

-Living things need oxygen to live. Oxygen is in the air. When air moves, it´s called wind.
-Living things need water to live. Water has no colour, smell or taste.
There is water in rivers, lakes…
-There are three states of water: solid, liquid and gas.
-Drinking water is safe. Some water is dangerous.
-We need to save water, not to waste it.
-Water falls from the clouds. It´s raining. It´s sunny…

MATERIALS AND RECYCLING

-CHARACTERISTICS: opaque, transparent, soft, resistant, hard, fragile, resistant, flexible, rigid, soluble.
-SOME MATERIALS: plastic, leather, wool, paper, wood, metal, glass, aluminium, steel, oil, rubber.
-RECLYCING: recycling bins, paper, glass, plastic, organic material.

-Fragile objects break easily. Soluble. Soluble objects dissolve in liquid. Flexible objects can stretch or bend. Soft objects change shape under pressure.
-Materials have different characteristics. We use plastic to make…We use leather to make…
-Rubber comes from trees. Some rubbish can be recycled. We separate our rubbish in recycling bins to help the environment.

-Tools are objects that people use to help them work.
-Machines need energy to work. They energy comes from human, animals, electricity, gas or from nature.
-A farmer needs a tractor. A carpenter needs a hammer.

LANDSCAPES

-ELEMENTS: landscapes, natural features, rivers, mountains, man-made features, road, bridges.
-MOUNTAIN: mountain, valley, forests, slopes, towns, roads, bridges, rivers.
-COAST: sea, land, island, port, beach, cliff, lighthouse.
-ROCKS: granite, slate, slate, limestone, clay.

-A landscape is a piece of land. Landscapes have got natural features and man-made features.
- Mountain landscapes have got valleys, mountain and forests. A valley is between two mountains.
-A coast is a valley by the sea. A rocky coast is a cliff. A flat coast with sand is a beach.
-Andalucía has got different types of landscapes. There are many natural parks in Andalucía.
-We use clay to make bricks. We use limestone to make cement. We use slate to make roofs.
